最近我因Culture Project而在看一些關於精神病的資料，在兩星期的觀察下驚覺社會大眾對於精神病人的成見很深，什至我的老師。
社會大眾對於精神病人的看法是理性地負面化，像我對老師提有關精神病人與大眾的距離時，他的第一回應指精神病醫院與城市有一定距離是應該及必然的，當中所涉及種種導至此現象的因由牽連甚廣，如:精神“病”是一種病，病是需要醫治的，治療的最佳環境不會是城市，精神病人會殺小朋友，精神病是暴戾的，應遠離暴戾......
這些有數百年歷史的成見看似已變了大眾的常識。面對著這種強大的社會觀念我有點束手無策，像是反對著理性主義及資本主義般。
我不是反對那種成見的存在，是我認為那種排外的想法不健康。而且我們大多都沒有和他們相處過。像是有黑社會背景的同學而且沒與他們立場對立的人，多多少少都會明白他們是被過份標籤的孩子。
Recently I read some about mental illness because of my culture project. In the two weeks of observation, I found the public's deep prejudice of mental patients, even my teacher.
The public perception of mental patients, is rational and negative. When i am discussing the project with my teacher, i mentioned the distance between mental patients and the public, and his first response was “ a psychiatric hospital and the city should have a certain distance and it is inevitable." The involved cause which lead to this phenomenon, is very far-reaching. such as, Mental illness is a disease, Disease is the need to treat, The best environment for treatment is not the the city, Mental patients kill the children, Mental illness are violent, Stay away from violent...
These centuries-old prejudices appear to became the public's common sense. The face of this powerful social attitudes, I am a bit helpless, like against rationalism and capitalism. I am not opposed to the existence of prejudice, but I think the exclusion is not good. And most of us did not get along with them. The people who have a classmate with triad background and haven't opposing positions with triad, can understand that those children are more or less being over labeled.
